A perfect mix of homestays, hotels, and lodges. Homemade meals are prepared by the homestay in order to fully experience the Costa Rican diet and cooking traditions.
Visit the capital city of San Jose. Explore the historic city center and beautiful Sabana Metropolitan Park for sports activities.
Visit the Amusement Park and explore Pueblo Antiguo, a great way to learn about colonial Costa Rica.
Movement-focused activities included such as a Latin dance class, cooking lesson, and soccer. Participate in mindfulness activities such as meditation and yoga.
Visit a dairy farm on the volcanic slopes of the Central Valley and learn about time honored sustainable agricultural practices in tune with the land.
Experience La Fortuna's thermal hot springs. This is a region surrounded by nature. Feel the thrill of a zip line tour through the rainforest and hike to a beautiful waterfall.
Spend a day on one of Costa Rica's beautiful Pacific Coast beaches.
A path to wellness is helping others and this program includes two days of community service.
In the verdant Orosi River Valley, hike in Tapantí National Park. Later, visit the colonial Orosi church and Cartago, home to Costa Rica's religious shrine said to bestow miracles.
The cloud forests of Costa Rica are a special place for introspection and attunement with nature. During our days in this natural setting with towering oaks and exuberant vegetation, meditate and participate in a yoga workshop before exploring the Savegre River.
Return to Heredia for a farewell dinner mentally and physically refreshed and recharged.
Tips & Advice
This program travels to a variety of landscapes and climates so pay close attention to the packing list!
Pack light and bring a good backpack for our excursions.
Bring clothes for the mountains - it will get chilly in the cloud forest!
Comfortable hiking shoes are a must.
Bring a good pair of binoculars to spot out wildlife.
Read up on Costa Rica before you depart. The more you prepare before you join the program the more you will get out of it!
