A city of culture and world-renowned architecture, Buenos Aires is a cosmopolitan city like no other. Located along the Rio de la Plata, the world's widest river, the city has a mild climate with many parks and historic neighborhoods to explore and enjoy. Spanish classes are taught at Academia Buenos Aires, the only accredited Cervantes Institute in the city. Eight levels of Spanish are offered and a university transcript is available for those interested in college credit. Classes are designed with a communicative approach. Emphasis is placed on the many facets of Argentine culture and the people of Buenos Aires, or porteños. You will practice your Spanish through engaging afternoon cultural activities. With Arcos Journeys in Buenos Aires you will greatly improve your understanding of Spanish and Argentina while having fun. Come with a desire to learn and experience the Spanish language first-hand!

Academia Buenos Aires
Take Spanish classes weekday mornings with a maximum size of 7 students per class.
Enjoy cultural activities to engage with the very best of Buenos Aires.
Live with a local homestay.
Travel for weekend excursions to must-see destinations such as the El Tigre River Delta or Colonia, Uruguay.
Airport transfers (EZE) are provided by a program director.
All students are placed with carefully selected homestays with typically two to three students per home. Homestays include WiFi and are conveniently located within a short commute to school. Homestays in Buenos Aires are usually apartments.
Breakfast and dinner are prepared by your homestay, offering a deeper experience of Argentine cuisine and cooking traditions.
Lunch is included daily at a café near the language school, with a variety of options.
Spanish classes are taught in a historic building one block off the Plaza de Mayo. Class hours are M-F 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM, including a mid-morning break. We will send you an online language assessment before the program to help place you.
Cultural activities include city tours, a tango dance class and performance, a pottery workshop, bowling, language exchange, and museum visits.
Travel by boat to Uruguay to explore the old Portuguese fort and town of Colonia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Traverse the river canals of the El Tigre Delta region and experience life like the locals.
Spend a day in the pampas, visiting the historic town of San Antonio de Areco. Enjoy a traditional lunch and then visit a working Gaucho ranch for horseback riding and a relaxing day in the countryside.
Morning: Breakfast with your homestay and take the subway to Spanish class.
Midday: Enjoy a mid morning snack at school (tea or maté with pastries) and then a delicious lunch the program restaurant.
Afternoon: Cultural activities and leisure time.
Evening: Dinner at your homestay, relax, and get a good night's sleep.
