Located along the Rio de la Plata, the world's widest river, the city has a mild climate with many parks and historic neighborhoods to explore and enjoy. Spanish classes are taught at Academia Buenos Aires, the only accredited Cervantes Institute in the city. Eight levels of Spanish are offered and a university transcript is available for those interested in college credit. Classes are designed with a communicative approach. Emphasis is placed on the many facets of Argentine culture and the people of Buenos Aires, or porteños. You will practice your Spanish through engaging daily activities. Careful selection of homestays to match your interests and enhance your Spanish learning. Homestays live within a convenient commute to school. Two students are normally placed per home. All houses have WiFi. Homestays in Buenos Aires are usually in apartments.
Breakfast and dinner prepared by your homestay in order to further experience Argentine cuisine and cooking traditions.
Lunch is included at a café by the language school with lots of daily options to choose from.
Spanish classes are taught in a historic building one block off of the Plaza de Mayo.
Cultural activities include a cooking class, tango class and performance, city tours, visits to local museums, and sports.
Travel by boat to Uruguay to explore the old Portuguese fort and town of Colonia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Traverse the river canals of the El Tigre Delta region and experience life like the locals.
Visit a working Gaucho ranch for horseback riding, gaucho games, and traditional performances while enjoying a typical asado.
