Excursion to Nerja Beach on Spain's Tropical Coast.
Hiking day to the Las Alpujarras, ancient Moorish villages high in the Sierra Nevada mountains.
Overnight camping trip to the Sierra Nevada mountains and summit the Iberian Peninsula's tallest peak, El Muhlhacén.
Guided visit to the Alhambra Palace, Spain's most visited monument, and the ancient palace of the Moorish sultans.
Airport transfers (GRX) by an Arcos program director.
Each morning experience a different outdoor activity in the Granada area. Afternoons are for cultural activities or visiting a local fitness center. The fitness center offers swimming, aerobic training, weight lifting, pilates, and yoga.
Cultural activities include visits to the Royal Cathedral, Albaicin neighborhood, a Flamenco performance, and an Arabic plaster workshop.
Weekend excursion to the Las Alpujarras in the Sierra Nevada mountains to hike and explore three Moorish villages of Roman origin.
Weekend excursion to Nerja beach on the striking Mediterranean coast. Spend the day enjoying beach activities and a traditional Spanish paella lunch on the beach!
Mountain bike in the natural area above the Alhambra Palace and ride up the Genil River through pine forests and the Spanish countryside.
Travel to the snow capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada to enjoy trekking in the mountains. Hike to El Veleta, camp overnight, and then summit El Mulhacén, the tallest peak in Southern Europe, with views of Africa.
Hiking and swimming at Los Cahorros Natural Park. There is a beautiful river with narrow slot canyons and three very long hanging bridges.
Other outdoor activities include rock climbing, canyoneering, and hiking.
Live with our carefully selected homestays. Homemade meals are shared to experience Spanish cuisine and cooking traditions. Two participants are normally placed per home and all houses have WiFi.
All equipment for activities is provided. Follow packing details listed in your handbook. Among other items you will need:
