Our program offers Spanish classes at the prestigious Cervantes Accredited Instituto Mediterraneo Sol (iNMSOL), featuring a communicative approach to language learning. Afternoons focus on the fun and engaging cultural activities that Granada has to offer, while weekends will take you to the spectacular Mediterranean coast and the alpine scenery of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Take Spanish classes at a Cervantes Accredited language institute in the historic Realejo neighborhood.
Enjoy cultural activities to catch the deep historical pulse of the city.
Embark on a hiking excursion to the Sierra Nevada Mountain villages of Las Alpujarras.
Travel to the spectacular Mediterranean coast and enjoy a traditional paella lunch on the beach.
Experience a guided tour of the Alhambra, the former palace of the Moorish sultans.
Airport transfers (GRX) are provided by a program director.
Experience authentic Spanish living with carefully selected homestays that cater to your interests and preferences. All homes are conveniently located within a 15-25 minute walking distance to the school, provide WiFi, and typically host two to three students, fostering a supportive learning environment.
Savor traditional Spanish cuisine! All meals are prepared by your homestay, offering a deeper understanding of local cooking traditions.
Immerse yourself in the Spanish language at the highly regarded Instituto Mediterraneo Sol (iNMSOL). Class times are M-F 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM with a mid-morning break. We will send you an online language assessment before the program to help place you.
Engage in a diverse range of cultural activities designed to immerse you in Granada's rich heritage. Explore historic neighborhoods like the Jewish Realejo, the Moorish Albaicin, and the gypsy Sacromonte with guided city tours. Delve into the city's artistic side with a plaster workshop and a captivating flamenco dance class, culminating in an unforgettable live performance. Further your understanding of the region with a guided visit to the Cathedral and Royal Chapel, the final resting place of the Catholic Monarchs Isabella and Ferdinand, and a visit to Andalusia's premier Science Park.
Travel high into the Sierra Nevada mountains to the ancient Moorish villages of Las Alpujarras and hike village to village exploring along the way.
Swim in the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean at the beach town of Nerja. A highlight is the paella lunch at a typical restaurant in the sand. Enjoy beach activities such as beach volleyball, kayaking, and paddleboarding.
Morning: Breakfast with your homestay and walk to Spanish class.
Midday: Enjoy lunch and siesta at your homestay. Lunch is the main meal in Spain.
Afternoon: Cultural activities and free time.
Evening: Dinner at homestay, relax, and a get a good night's sleep. Dinner in Spain is a lighter affair.
