Embark on a unique learning & experiential journey in Argentina Performing communiity SERVICE!
This unique community service program allows you to experience life in Argentina's capital city of Buenos Aires and then transition to a project in one of the provinces. You'll spend the first week living with a homestay and working on community serivce projects weekday mornings. In the afternoons participate in cultural activities highlighting the Buenos Aires experience. The second week you will travel with your group to one of the provinces for a community experience in the countryside. This will allow you to see and experience different realities and levels of need within this vast South American country. This journey takes you from city to country and everywhere in between!

Begin your journey learning about the unique history of Argentina, and in particular Buenos Aires through an in-depth city tour of the most iconic neighborhoods and most famous street fair, San Telmo.
Start your community serivce Monday morning in Buenos Aires. Community service will be every weekday with one or more local non-profit organizations. The projects will be determined before your arrival based on the needs of the organization during your program dates. Typical projects include working with children, working with the eldering, helping with the organization and distribution of donations such as clothing and food.
Participate in a variety of cultural activities during the weekday afternoons.
To learn about an urban renewal project, bicycle through the Ecological Reserve, an example of ecological rejuvenation in the urban environment. This is a nature reserve on the banks of the Rio de la Plata created from fill dirt from years of construction projects.
Travel for week 2 outside of Buenos Aires through our connections with the non-profits we partner with to experience another side of life in Argentina. A project will be indentified in advance with one of the communities located in Buenos Aires' neighboring provinces. Experience life outside the capital city to add diversity to your Argentina experience.
Return to Buenos Aires for a farewell activity before saying goodbye to new friends and returning home.
TIPS & Advice
Pack warm clothes and layers (seasons are reversed!)
Wear comfortable clothes for the community service project and be prepared for flexibility in the projects you assist with.
Bring a rain jacket and umbrella in case there is a rainy day.
Consider bringing school supplies to donate to the projects that work with school children.
