The program starts with hiking Los Cahorros, a natural area with hanging bridges and an inviting mountain stream.
On the weekend travel to Nerja beach on the Mediterranean coast and spend the night at a hotel. Go sea kayaking, participate in beach activities, and hike a cool mountain stream up a beautiful slot canyon. And of course enjoy a traditional Spanish paella on the beach!
While in Granada students choose from afternoon sports activities at a local fitness center such as swimming, aerobic training, weight lifting, pilates, and yoga.
Mountain bike in the natural area above the Alhambra Palace and ride up the Genil River through pine forests and the Spanish countryside.
Then depart for the snow capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada to enjoy trekking in the mountains. Hike to El Veleta, spend the night in a mountain hut, and then summit El Mulhacén, the tallest peak in Southern Europe, from where you can see Africa.
Other outdoor activities include rock climbing, hiking, and swimming in the Dilar River, and a day of canyoneering.
Live with our carefully selected homestays. Homemade meals are shared to experience Spanish cuisine and cooking traditions. Two participants are normally placed per home and all houses have WiFi.
